Social News: Roku to Fall, Airbnb to Rise in Premarket Wallstreetbets Stocks

The most talked-about equities on Thursday morning in the Wallstreetbets subforum of Reddit were split.

Stock meme favourite GameStop declined 0.1% premarket following a 6.2% decline on Wednesday, while Airbnb increased 0.5% premarket following a more than 13% decline on that day.

Amazon.com was up 0.3% premarket following a 4.8% decrease in the previous day, while Apple was down 1% premarket following a 3.7% decline Wednesday. The Federal Trade Commission and the Department of Justice's antitrust division have received a letter from US Senator Elizabeth Warren in which she expresses "serious concern" regarding alleged competition and consumer protection issues that "Big Tech's expansion into the automotive industry poses."

Other companies under scrutiny were Tesla, which rose 0.1% in the premarket after falling 5.6% on Wednesday, and Advanced Micro Devices, which fell 0.6% in the premarket after falling 1.7% on Wednesday. Premarket losses for Facebook parent company Meta Platforms were 0.2% after Wednesday's 4.9% decline.

Roku lost 20% before the market opened, increasing a 4.4% drop from the previous session. The corporation said on Wednesday that its third quarter revenue increased but it turned a loss.
