Former Apple and HP executives are added to the management team at Ford Motor

Doug Field has been appointed chief advanced product development and technology officer, according to Ford Motor Company.

Field was once Apple's vice president of special initiatives.

Until the hiring of a chief global supply chain officer, Ford Chief Financial Officer John Lawler will act as the organization's temporary worldwide supply chain operations manager, the firm announced.

Along with other management moves, Roz Ho was hired as chief connected vehicle software officer. Ho formerly worked at HP as a vice president and the company's worldwide head of software. He will join Ford in October.
