After losing 4.4% on Wednesday, Microsoft MSFT gained 0.1% after Reuters reported that the corporation is in final stages of talks to invest in autonomous driving startup Gatik.

Apple AAPL increased by 0.1% after rising by 1% on Wednesday. Foxconn, an iPhone manufacturer's supplier, announced on Thursday that operations and output at its Zhengzhou plant in China have gradually stabilised.

Amazon.com AMZN increased by roughly 3% after declining by 0.8% on Wednesday. Following its yearly planning process, the company is letting go of little over 18,000 employees, according to Chief Executive Andy Jassy in a public statement to employees on Thursday.

Among the other equities under scrutiny, Alibaba fell 1.6% before the market opened following a 13% increase on Wednesday, and Meta Platforms META nudged up 0.2% following a 2.1% gain the day before. Pre-bell, Coinbase Global decreased 0.7% after rising 12% on Wednesday.
