Only the top-tier iPhone 16 is anticipated to include a periscope camera.
Even though Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL) hasn't even unveiled the iPhone 15, industry observers are already talking about the next iPhone 16, with one well-known research analyst claiming that only the most expensive model of the famous smartphone will include a periscope camera.
TF The gadget, due for release in the second half of 2024, is expected to contain the camera, which employs a mechanism to increase its focal length, as opposed to market predictions that two iPhones would have the system, according to International Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo on Tuesday.
Largan and Genius, suppliers to Apple (AAPL), will be impacted by the lack of iPhone models with the new system, according to Kuo, "because the demand for lens improvements will fall below estimates."
In order to "fuel demand for lens improvements in 2023–2024," Kuo also noted that the high-end iPhone 15, now known as either the iPhone 15 Pro Max or iPhone 15 Ultra, would also include the periscope camera system.
Tuesday at midday, Apple (AAPL) shares were trading slightly higher at $143.52.
Prior to Apple (AAPL) reporting its first-quarter earnings later this week, Wells Fargo reduced its 2023 predictions for the business on Monday.
